Why It Matters

A Stored Car Needs More Than a Wash

Most owners pull the cover off in April, run the car through a drive-thru, and call it done. A drive-thru wash after six months of storage is one of the worst things you can do to paint — the contamination bonded to the clear coat over winter needs to be chemically lifted, not scrubbed with nylon brushes over dirty recycled water.

A proper spring reveal is a full reset. Iron remover pulls bonded particles out of the paint. Clay bar lifts embedded contamination. A single-stage polish removes any light cover-contact marks that accumulated during storage. Ceramic topper refreshes hydrophobic behaviour if the car was coated. Interior dehumidifier packs come out, leather gets conditioned, and glass gets polished.

The result is a car that looks and feels the way it did in November, only fresher. For collector and weekend cars, that first clean-road drive of the year deserves nothing less.

What Every Spring Reveal Includes

Six anchors that every reveal service is built around

Decontamination wash

Iron remover, tar remover, and clay bar treatment to lift every piece of winter contamination that settled while the car sat — even under a cover.

Paint inspection + correction

Every panel inspected under proper lighting. Light cobweb marks from cover contact or micro-scratches from storage are removed with a single-stage polish.

Ceramic refresh

If your car was stored with ceramic protection, we apply a ceramic topper in the same product family to restore full hydrophobic behaviour.

Interior reset

Steam clean, leather conditioning, glass clean, and dehumidifier removal. The cabin gets the same reset the exterior does.

Wheel + tire detail

Wheel face polishing, tire dressing, pressure check, and visual inspection for flat spots from storage. Your car is ready to drive home the same day.

Documented handoff

Every spring reveal service includes a documented write-up: paint thickness (for tracking over years), work performed, products used, and photos.

Spring Reveal FAQ

What clients ask when booking the reveal

What is a spring reveal detail?

A spring reveal is a full decontamination and correction detail for a car coming out of winter storage. Even under a cover in a heated garage, a stored car accumulates micro-contamination, cobweb marks from cover contact, and interior moisture buildup. The reveal resets all of that so the car looks showroom-fresh for the first drive of the season.

Most clients book 2 to 3 weeks before they plan to drive the car for the first time. Peak season is mid-March to early May. If you store with a partner facility, coordinate the reveal date with the storage release date so the car moves straight from the storage garage to the Hotel X bay.

Usually yes — even well-stored cars develop light cover-contact marks and swirl marks over 5 to 6 months of sitting still. Single-stage correction during the reveal restores the finish without taking off clear coat. On collector and concours cars, multi-stage correction is the standard spring reveal upgrade.

Yes. We regularly coordinate with GTA storage facilities (Park Your Car, Stafford Square, Classic Car Storage, and others) to pick up cars directly and deliver them back after service. Add 1–2 hours to typical turnaround for the coordination logistics.

We focus on the detailing side. For fuel stabilizer flushes, brake fluid checks, battery post cleaning, and coolant checks, we coordinate with your mechanic on the same day. Many clients book mechanical service and reveal detail back-to-back during the spring release.

Yes. If the existing ceramic is too faded to refresh with a topper, we apply a new ceramic coating during the reveal service. Add $150 to $180 depending on vehicle size (Car or SUV/Truck based on our Platinum Perfection service tier pricing), or up to your specific ceramic product coverage. The reveal becomes a 2 to 3 day booking for cure time.

Maintenance reveal: 3–4 hours (same-day drop-off and pickup). Full reveal: 6–8 hours or overnight. Concours reveal: 2 days. We confirm the exact window when you book and can work around a specific pickup time.

Signature and Collector members get 15% and 20% off the spring reveal package respectively. The Collector membership also includes a free ceramic topper refresh once per year, which typically happens as part of the spring reveal.
