Durham offers a mix of residential communities and busy roads, with vehicles exposed to road salt, tree sap, UV, and changing weather. Sleekz Automotive provides professional detailing services to help protect your vehicle’s exterior.
For Durham vehicle owners, ceramic coating, paint protection film, and quarterly maintenance washes are effective ways to protect a car through Ontario’s changing seasons.

Parking Reality in Durham
Durham parking is a mix of underground residential garages and exposed outdoor lots. Ontario’s winter road salt, changing weather, and UV exposure can be hard on bare aluminum wheels, chrome trim, and lower body panels. UV exposure can also fade dashboards and leather over time.

The questions we hear from this area
Two reasons: road salt carried onto vehicles during winter, and UV exposure that affects paint and interiors. Cars parked outdoors in Durham can age faster than the same car kept in a shaded garage.
Targeted PPF is smart — especially on the rocker panels and lower front bumper, which take the brunt of road debris and winter salt even if the car doesn’t move often. Full-body PPF is rarely necessary for weekend drivers.
Yes — we do concierge pickups from residential parking areas and surrounding lots across Durham. A short notice window is helpful because pickup times can vary by location.
Every 2 to 3 weeks is the sweet spot. Bird droppings and sap are the two things you cannot leave on the paint — if either lands on the car, it has to come off within 24 hours to prevent etching.
