Why It Matters
Most owners think storage is the safe time for a car — no road salt, no bug strikes, no parking-lot dings. In reality, storage is when a car ages the fastest if the prep is skipped. Six months of sitting still in a humidity-cycling garage lets bonded contamination etch into the clear coat, leather dries out from heated-garage HVAC, tires develop flat spots, fuel separates, and the battery flat-lines from parasitic draw.
Every year in October, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, and Markham garages fill up with collector cars going into storage. Half of them come out in April worse than they went in. That is not a storage problem — it is a prep problem. The owners who see their cars emerge unchanged are the ones who invested in a proper pre-storage detail.
Our winter storage prep covers the full checklist: full decontamination, ceramic coating or refresh, interior conditioning, dehumidifier placement, smart battery tender, coordinated mechanical service, and breathable cover fitting. Everything the car needs to emerge in spring in the same condition it arrived.
Six anchors that set the car up for a clean spring reveal
Iron remover, tar remover, clay bar, IPA wipe. Every piece of bonded contamination leaves the paint before the cover goes on.
Storage is the best time to coat — climate-controlled cure, no rain, six months of bond time before first water contact.
Leather cleaned and conditioned. Silica gel packs placed in cabin and trunk. Glass roof and windows treated for UV.
Compatible AGM/lithium smart tenders installed. We confirm with your storage facility it can stay connected for the season.
Fuel stabilizer, oil change if due, coolant top-up, brake fluid check — coordinated with your mechanic on the same day, so you hand off one car.
We fit and position a breathable multi-layer cover — never plastic. If you do not own one, we recommend and source model-specific covers.

The Toronto storage prep calendar — plan ahead or risk the wait
01
Booking opens. Early clients get peak slots. Storage facilities also start opening intake windows.
02
Peak storage prep month. Collector clubs coordinate group bookings. We extend bay hours to 9pm to accommodate same-day turnaround.
03
Final storage prep window before first snow. Availability tightens — book 2–3 weeks ahead in this window.
04
If you missed the main window, we still take last-minute prep — typically expedited and usually the week before the car is moved to storage.
Pre-Book the Reveal
Concours Storage clients get the spring reveal pre-booked and discounted 20%. Pick up the same car in April, freshly revealed, ready for the first drive of the season.
What clients ask before booking the prep
September and October are our peak booking months. For daily-driven cars going into short-term storage, we can usually accommodate 1–2 weeks notice. For collector cars requiring 2–3 day packages with ceramic coating, book 3–4 weeks ahead. Our busiest week is the third week of October.
We prep cars for storage but do not provide storage ourselves. We coordinate with partner storage facilities across the GTA (Park Your Car, Stafford Square, Classic Car Storage) and can deliver the prepped car directly to your storage bay.
Yes — it’s the single best time. The paint is fully prepped, the car is in a climate-controlled environment for cure time, and the coating gets six months of bond time before it sees water. Coatings applied before storage typically outlast coatings applied mid-season by 6–12 months.
Yes. We bring compatible AGM/lithium smart tenders and install them during the prep. We also confirm with your storage facility that the tender can remain plugged in for the season. If your car uses a specific battery requiring a proprietary tender (some Ferraris, McLarens), we coordinate with the manufacturer-recommended product.
Yes. We work with several GTA partner mechanics who can handle fuel stabilizer, oil change, coolant top-up, and brake fluid refresh on the same day as the detail. You drop the car off in the morning and it leaves fully prepped for storage by evening.
We recommend and source model-specific covers — we do not carry universal covers. For best results, order a car-fit cover 4–6 weeks before your prep appointment. We can fit any cover you bring in or arrange delivery of the right model for your car.
Bring it in anyway. Even if the car has been stored unprepped for a week or two, we can still run a full decontamination and apply coating protection retroactively. The earlier in the season we catch it, the better the results — but it is never too late to protect factory paint.
For a collector car, combining the Quick Clean package ($25–$30 per visit) or Platinum Perfection package ($150–$180 per visit) with regular seasonal upkeep totals much less annually. Our Stay Sleek monthly membership ($220–$280/mo) covers consistent weekly care including the Silver Shine package, concierge scheduling, and regular exterior detailing — often providing the better economics on a year-round basis.
Book your interior detail at 37 Minford Ave, Scarborough, ON, M1R 2B4. Drop off in the morning, pick up a cabin that feels new.
We’re not taking appointments online right now. Give us a call and we’ll get you booked in, or send a request and we’ll get back to you.
